My Story
Hi! I need your help. I'm taking part in the 127th Boston Marathon to raise money for Tufts Medical Center, who does great work for a cause that is very close to my heart.
In 2010, my wife Melissa was diagnosed with a Schwannoma, a benign tumor growing behind her right eye. After two years of monitoring its growth, we decided in 2012 to have it removed by the incredible neurosurgeons at Tufts Medical in Boston, MA (shout out to Dr. Heilman). After the incredible care from intake to discharge, Melissa quickly recovered from the brain surgery and has had a clean bill of health, brain tumor free. We have since started a beautiful family by welcoming our daughter, Emma (9) and our son, Ryan (6). We moved out to Hopkinton, MA (start line of the Boston Marathon!) 6 years ago and I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate Melissa, Tufts Medical and life by running my first marathon and raising money for Tufts Medical.
Tufts Medical is a non-profit teaching hospital and with your donation, you make a true impact on their ability to pursue the discoveries that will lead to more lives saved and to develop new patient care and education programs.
