Earthchild Project is a Non-Profit Organisation operating in Khayelitsha and Lavender Hill. They offer complimentary education to under-resourced schools with a holistic approach to education which is focused on health and wellness, life skills and the environment through different programmes integrated with the schools curriculum. They do this mainly through yoga and meditation, and organic gardening and environmental education. 

Through the practice of yoga and meditation, these young children are encouraged to connect with themselves as well as grow into conscious, confident and responsible children. The Earthchild Project has identified the need for these children to have a space that is quiet and safe. The Shala Cape Town Yoga School is raising R50,000 to equip our long awaited classroom at Ntwasa Primary School in Khayelitsha with the following;

40 x Yoga Mats - R10,000
Furniture - R3,000
Vinyl mural - R15,000
Security & burglar bars - R12,000

TOTAL R50,000

With this classroom, we hope to empower these children to inspire dreaming and visioning for a bright future.
