Hi! I need your help. I'm raising money for American Red Cross of Massachusetts for the Boston Marathon. I have been a runner since I was 11 years old. I didn't officially become a marathoner until I was 37 years old after becoming a mother of three sons.

What once started as a dream to only complete the New York City marathon in 2018 has fueled into a journey of completing the World Six Major Marathons (New York, Chicago, Berlin, London, Tokyo, and Boston). Now, it is an honor to have a chance to complete my sixth star in Boston in April of 2024 in the most competitive marathon of the world, and the oldest marathon in America.

As I culminate this marathoning journey with this prestigious race, I represent the Hispanic community as a first generation born Cuban-American woman. As a teacher, I represent my 460 students, 90% of which are of Hispanic. I represent the little girls with big dreams of running and traveling the world to do so some day. I represent those who can't run and use my legs and my heart to inspire. I represent the traumatized whom society sells the lie of, "you can't" so they can turn around and reframe that dialogue into, "I can and watch me." I represent my three sons, so that they may live healthy lifestyles and learn that anything in life can be conquered at any age with any and all constraints. 

This is one of the highest honors I have achieved in the world of sports. I am not one of the fastest, but I am one of the most determined people I know. Thank you to the Red Cross for not only training me every two years sine I was 16 years old in First Aid and CPR but also for granting me the utmost honor of fundraising for this privilege of running the Boston Marathon in 2024.
