My Story
When the Boston Marathon announced an October return this year after two consecutive Marathon Mondays without it, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to be a part of it. I'm so excited and humbled to be running my third Boston Marathon and first for the Joe Andruzzi Foundation, an organization that does incredible work for cancer patients and their families and touches close to my heart.

As I train and prepare this summer to run those 26.2 iconic miles from Hopkinton to Boston, please join me in my mission to raise $10,000 for JAF that will significantly impact the lives of those affected by cancer.  Together we can help remove the burden and stress that patients and families face with the cost of cancer so that they can focus on treatment, recovery, spending quality time with each other, and in the words of JAF’s mission, “help patients live joyfully.” Every dollar makes a difference!

What JAF does: JAF is committed to providing help, hope, and a reason to smile, for New England cancer patients and their families by contributing financial support when it is needed most.

How JAF helps: Direct financial assistance is the core of JAF's work. Through the distribution of grants and gift cards, JAF covers basic and emergent non-medical needs that patients and caregivers impacted by cancer find themselves unable to afford -- including housing, food, transportation, and utilities.
