Ntokozo Ndlovu
claims he is just a normal guy! But don’t get fooled by his modesty, for the
task he has undertaken is herculean- inculcating the love for reading with the children.
The Web Foundation aims to bring about social change within South Africa
through social enterprise to rural primary schools, empowering and mentoring
those who want to create better opportunities. The Web Foundation founder
Ntokozo Edward Ndlovu has a passion for working with rural communities and
breaking the current inevitable cycle of illiteracy. Ntokozo has some
refreshing thoughts on education, art and sports. He believes that the literary
skills are mistaken for bookish knowledge to satisfy the competitive world, but
education should be holistic. He therefore believes in the power of good
stories. Having grown up in a poor family in a village in KwaZulu Natal
Province, eMpendle he understands the reality of their situation. Thanks to experienced
gained while working with Nhlamolo Development and Training NGO, in
Bloemfontein in 2006-10, valuable international philanthropists supported and encouraged
Ntokozo, who was working along with Mr Given Shingange they managed to transform
the lives of the community in Bloemfontein through various projects. Ntokozo is
in the South African National Defence, you can see his profession gave him the
chance to work anywhere. He made a conscious decision to volunteer full time to
work with the rural schools in different communities around the country.
