My Story
Hi Friends and Family!  I could not be more excited to announce that I am running the 127th Boston Marathon on behalf of the Elizabeth Seton Residence.

If you can, please consider donating. No amount is too small!

Why Elizabeth Seton Residence?

Many of you already know that Elizabeth Seton is the place my aunt calls home, so needless to say, this is a special cause for me.  Transitioning to a long term care facility isn't easy for anyone, especially during Covid, but the folks at Elizabeth Seton made Auntie Mo feel right at home right from the start!

What will happen with your donation?

As a non-profit organization located near the marathon route, Elizabeth Seton has been awarded one charity bib each year for the last several years.  The funds raised help to improve the daily lives of the Elizabeth Seton residents.  In years past, as part of an initiative called "Dining with Dignity," funds have gone towards important community-building and belonging measures like upgrading the dining ware to better accommodate residents with Parkinson's Disease.  Elizabeth Seton is home to so many, and the team there is committed to leveraging donations to ensure its residents feel a sense of community.

Many of the residents feel most at home when they are spending time together in the common living room areas.  You'll often find residents congregating in these areas playing games, doing puzzles and watching TV.  I have no doubt that they'll be watching coverage of the 127th Boston Marathon on April 17th!  Our goal with the funds from this campaign is to refurbish these areas to make sure the residents feel as at home as possible while enjoying each other's company.

My running story
I've been running in some fashion for about 10 years.  At first, running was nothing more than a way for me to get some exercise and I didn't see much appeal in running an organized road race...until my first 5k in 2018.  At that point, I was hooked!  Now that I have a few half marathons and several shorter races under my belt, it's time to up the ante and run the most iconic road race in the world.  The race that I grew up watching with my family and later watched my sister finish twice.  Let's go!
