This year I will be running the Boston Marathon in support of
Trinity Boston Connects (TBC). Running the marathon has always been one of goals and I am excited to take this on.
I invite you to show your support Trinity Boston Connects (TBC) on my behalf to the Boston Marathon
$7500 fundraising goal. Your partnership enables Trinity Boston Connects to forward their mission of unlocking opportunity and changing the odds for youth of color in Boston while promoting healing from the traumatic impact of systemic racism.
The mission of Trinity Boston Connects is to heal the traumatic impact of systemic racism in Boston, and to create a more equitable Boston in which youth of color can thrive. TBC works through the integration of racial equity, trauma-inclusion, and restorative justice practices in service of youth, youth workers, and youth-serving organizational leaders and staff.
My favorite program that TBC runs for youth in Boston is
Sole Train. This past year I was a site coordinator for Sole Train at my AmeriCorps host site, St. Stephen's Youth Programs. I have seen first hand how impactful these programs can be to the development of youth. Sole Train created space for youth to build their self-confidence, challenge themselves physically and mentally, and have fun!
I hope you will consider taking this journey to the marathon with me and donating in support of Trinity Boston Connects.
