For Jimin's birthday, ARMY wanted to support an org working on issues such as anti-violence, abuse and trafficking. So, this year, One In An ARMY is supporting Reaching Out Romania, a non-profit org that helps victims affected by human trafficking and sexual exploitation. About Reaching Out Romania

Working in collaboration with the police, Romania's Child Protection Department, and non-government organizations, Reaching Out Romania helps victims by providing them with housing, psychological, media and legal assistance. The organization shapes its activities around the needs of the victims and provides them with long-term assistance as well. The efforts are further directed to help victims gain access to education, jobs and other mediums to help rebuild their lives.

Since its inception in 1998, Reaching Out Romania has helped 750 victims, mostly Romanian women and girls who have been enslaved and abused in many European countries. In 2021, they were able to assist 16 victims. As a part of their relief efforts, all their “beneficiaries” were enrolled in full time school and received tutoring. Last year Reaching Out Romania was contacted by an organization with activity in education and together succeeded in forming a group of teachers from all around Romania willing to volunteer in tutoring their beneficiaries online. That way they were able to cover the most important subjects in school: Romanian, mathematics, chemistry, physics, personal development, English, etc. The tutoring was provided free of cost. Furthermore, the girls were able to enroll with a family doctor, and six girls received psychiatric treatment.
