For the past two years, I have been pushing myself physically to expand my limits and be the healthiest that I can be.
This challenge took on many forms; from cycling Southern California, to rafting Oregon’s rivers. From hiking through the Rocky Mountains, to running through the Sonoran desert.
This week, I have accepted a new challenge: the 2023 New York City Marathon.
I have been selected to represent Tom Brady’s TB12 Foundation - a nonprofit organization educating and inspiring athletes to excel in both sports and life. I will be raising money for the TB12 Foundation and running 26.2 miles in NYC this November!
TB12 provides access to innovative health and wellness resources that support preparation, performance, and recovery – empowering people who are at-risk due to economic or health-related obstacles to reach their performance and life goals. Through their services, they aim to educate and help athletes improve longevity, prevent injury, and stay on the field, court, track, or course, doing what they love, better and for longer.
My fundraising efforts will help the TB12 Foundation impact more athletes who are in need, including tactical athletes such as military service members and first responders. In addition to their Scholarship Program, they have a new initiative directly impacting underserved student athletes in Massachusetts. The program currently sponsors 24 scholar leader athletes, giving them a two-hour TB12 experience, once a month in Foxboro and Boston for the duration of the school year. Their goal is to replicate this program in Tampa, New York and beyond and serve more athletes through their scholarship program.
I am excited to run my first marathon in the iconic Big Apple. If you are able to, please support my fundraising efforts on GivenGain!
