My Story
Hi everyone. I'm taking part in the 125th Boston Marathon to raise critical funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). By supporting us in my crazy athletic endeavors, you will help us move ever closer to finding a cure for Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). JDRF's ongoing efforts to bring us to a world without T1D; for our son Harris and for the millions of other children and adults impacted by the disease are critically important to our family and so many more. With T1D, a person’s pancreas stops producing insulin—a hormone essential to turning food into energy. The daily life of someone with T1D brings a multitude of challenges, including insulin injections or infusions that need to be carefully balanced with eating and activity, ongoing glucose monitoring, often sleepless nights. Living with T1D means there are no days off and there is, at least today, no cure. But there is hope. Your generosity will help JDRF fund life-changing breakthroughs to remove the incredible daily burden of this disease—until it no longer exists. Please support our fundraiser by making a donation today. Thank you!
