So I got some awesomeeeeee news! I got accepted to compete in the Runner’s Super Bowl Marathon. Yes, the GREAT Boston Marathon! If you know me, then you know that I am super thrilled and beyond excited to be part of this historic event!
I am running on Tedy's Team, led by the great New England Patriot and stroke survivor, Tedy Bruschi. Many of my friends and my family have been affected by heart disease and stroke, including my own father/best friend Heraldo Pryce who passed away from a stroke in 2019; he was 75 years old. For these reasons, I have decided to take on the journey of raising awareness around stroke and heart disease while supporting survivors on their journey and supporting them for a strong comeback.
If you can, please donate to this awesome charity. All donations are fully tax deductible and no donation is too small. Anything you or your family can contribute, I would be extremely grateful for and will forever appreciate your generosity! Thank you for your continued support and friendship!
Honor & Strength,
Mike Pryce
We are honored to be part of the Official Charity Program of the Boston Marathon. The Boston Athletic Association has allowed us to utilize their platform to elevate the awareness of the warning signs of stroke, which are best remembered by using the acronym BE FAST, which stands for:
• Balance Difficulties • Eyesight Changes • Face Drooping • Arm Weakness • Speech Difficulties - and if you notice any of those warning signs, it's... • TIME TO CALL 9-1-1.
BE FAST is an acronym to help you quickly recognize common signs of a stroke and to take any necessary action by calling for emergency medical services. Other symptoms may include sudden and severe unexplained headache or migraine with no obvious cause, and confusion or trouble understanding things they would normally know.
Please also note the warning signs of heart attack are:
• Chest pain and discomfort • Lightheadedness, nausea or vomiting • Jaw, neck of back pain • Discomfort or pain in the arm or shoulder • Shortness of breath
