My Story
As someone who has lived experience with depression and anxiety, I know firsthand how deeply these conditions can impact one's life. When I find myself in those darkest days, it is easy to experience uncontrollable patterns of negative thinking, helplessness, and hopelessness. For someone who suffers from these conditions, it is not so easy to talk about because there is stigma associated with those who have mental health conditions. It’s time to end that. So, let’s do it together!

I am honored to be taking part in 126th Boston Marathon to raise money for American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, an organization that funds scientific research, educates the public about mental health and suicide prevention, advocates for public policies in mental health and suicide prevention, and supports survivors of suicide loss and those affected by suicide.

Discovering a love of running 6 years ago has played such a significant part in managing my illnesses. I ran my first half marathon in 2018, proudly raising $1000 for AFSP and wearing their name as I crossed the finish line. To have the incredible opportunity to run for Team AFSP in my 2nd Boston Marathon will be such a meaningful and important milestone in my journey.

Please consider a donation in any amount to help me reach my goal of raising $20,000 toward this amazing cause. Thank you and see you in April!
