My Story
Over 20 yrs ago, I ran back-to-back Boston Marathons to raise money to support leukemia research. My experience as a charity runner was incredibly challenging and rewarding, and I've always wanted to do it One. More. Time.

So, here I am in 2021, preparing to run in the 125th Boston Marathon on Oct 11th as part of "Team JAF" - a group of athletes training and fundraising to support the Joe Andruzzi Foundation. This is the first Boston Marathon to be held in October (after a Covid postponement in April) and will take place 9 days before my 50th birthday!

Joe Andruzzi is a former New England Patriots 3-time Super Bowl-winning offensive guard. In 2007, Joe was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's Burkitt's lymphoma, ending his football career.  Joe beat the disease and remains cancer free today. But after experiencing first hand the stress cancer can cause, Joe and his wife Jen created the Joe Andruzzi Foundation to help cancer patients meet life's day-to-day challenges. JAF helps alleviate financial and emotional stress by providing grants to assist with rent/mortgage payments, utilities, and other household expenses.

I have pledged to raise $10,000 for the Joe Andruzzi Foundation.
I'm so proud to be part of this amazing cause!  Although 26.2 miles is tough, fundraising can be equally challenging. I am reaching out today to ask for your help.  Any contribution - large or small - will allow grant recipients to focus on their fight against cancer.  If you can, please donate - THANK YOU!!!
