Hi everyone! I’m so excited to announce that I’m running in the 127th Boston Marathon as a member of Team Tufts MC!
I began working at Tufts Medical Center in the Fall of 2021. I started out in the hospital’s vaccine clinic, administering COVID and flu shots to both employees and the general public. In February of 2022, I transitioned to my current role as a nurse on the Mother Infant Unit. I consider myself so fortunate to have begun my nursing career at such an exceptional organization. At Tufts Medical Center, our patients are at the core of everything we do. My patients are truly extraordinary, and I’m running this extraordinary race in their honor. Every time I step into work, I am in awe of my patients and their unique stories. I am constantly inspired by the resilience, selflessness, and strength exhibited by the women I care for on the MIU. My patients overcome every challenge they face with incredible grace and dignity. Running the Boston Marathon and fundraising for Team Tufts MC is my way of showing gratitude for all they have taught me. I am so grateful to be running the Boston Marathon, but I’m even more grateful to be a nurse on the Mother Infant Unit. Training for and eventually running the marathon certainly won’t be an easy endeavor, but if I can summon even a fraction of the strength that I see in my patients every day, I know I’ll be just fine!
My goal is to raise $7,500 for Team Tufts MC. I truly appreciate every dollar that comes my way, as it will all go to support Tufts Medical Center’s mission of providing the highest standard of care to those we serve. We strive to give all of our patients the high-quality, accessible, and personalized care that they deserve, and your donation can help us continue to achieve this. I see firsthand the impact that TMC has on its patients and community, and I am proud to contribute to this mission, whether I’m wearing scrubs or a Team Tufts MC singlet!
