“Art is not hard. It’s right next to us.” - Namjoon

For Namjoon’s birthday campaign, ARMY’s top voted-caused was ‘Art & Culture’. Reflecting Namjoon’s strong belief in the accessibility of art and its power to heal people, OIAA is working with ACFFC for this year’s September 5-Day Flash Fundraiser Campaign.

The Art Creation Foundation for Children (ACFFC) empowers children in severe poverty in Jacmel, Haiti through the medium of art. In developing the competency of children in art mediums such as mosaic painting, papier mache and photography, the foundation nurtures their confidence and self-sufficiency in crafting their own futures. The foundation’s focus on art has also created a close-knit community of youth who often return as alumni to conduct art programmes for the children or go on to represent Jacmel on a national & global scale.

Aside from in-house art programs, ACFFC plays a vital role in ensuring the education and personal development of children under their foundation. They run a feeding program that provides meals once a day during the school week, and twice a day on Saturdays and during the summer. Additionally, ACFFC’s education program pays for the tuition and necessary school supplies for all their children.
