Hi friends!
I'm taking part in 126th Boston Marathon to raise money for Joe Andruzzi Foundation, who do great work for a cause that's very close to my heart. As a teenager, my mother passed of Multiple Myeloma cancer. I saw the stress and anxiety missing work for treatments caused her. It unfortunately took away from her need to focus on self-care, healing and the treatment plan. I will be running in memory of her and my dearest friend, Josie...both who were taken too early in life from this terrible disease.
The Joe Andruzzi Foundation (JAF) is committed to providing help, hope, and a reason to smile, for New England cancer patients and their families by contributing financial support when it is needed most.
Direct financial assistance is the core of JAF’s work. Through the distribution of grants and gift cards, JAF covers basic and emergent non-medical needs that patients and caregivers impacted by cancer find themselves unable to afford - including housing, food, transportation, and utilities.
