Dear Family, Friends, and fellow Brookliners!
As a lifelong Brookline resident, I've grown up watching the Boston Marathon and dreamed of running it. So I am honored to be running my first marathon with Team Brookline in October.
Over the years, I've been supported and mentored by teachers, coaches, parents, and friends who've helped mold me into who I am today. With the support of this community, I found my passion for activism and refined my goal to enter public health with a medical degree. Brookline is an incredible town!
As a Team Brookline member, my fundraising benefits organizations including The Brookline Center for Community Mental Health, The Brookline Education Foundation (BEF), and the Library. Each of these is significant to me. As a friend, I have seen how the Center for Community Mental Health has offered much-needed support and serves to community members. I spent 14 years in Brookline public schools; there, teachers, coaches, and faculty urged me to take risks and pursue my dreams. I saw the impact that the BEF had on our schools- many of my teachers benefitted from the generosity of BEF grants. Finally, as an avid reader, I have spent hours in our libraries, first at story time, then doing research or searching for the perfect book to read for fun.
I'm proud to call Brookline home and thrilled to fulfill my dream of running Boston and in the process, give back to the community that had given me so much. I hope you'll be able to support me in this effort!
