My Story

EZENDALO INNOVATIONS GARDEN PROJECT

Xolisa Bangane and Lonwabu Mfengusa are dynamic youngers within the Khayelitsha Community (Cape Town, South Africa) who through their own accord, started up two Community Gardens at local primary schools within their neighbourhood. The food grown in these gardens help aid Soup Kitchens, food for the school children as well as their own families. They now want to extend a third garden as well as upgrade their two existing gardens. Ezendalo Innovations Garden will be the third project branching out from Xolisa's initial concept, Ikhaya Garden.

IKHWEZI LOKUSA PERMACULTURE FARM

We at Ikhwezi Lokusa Permaculture Farm, situated 15km outside of East London(Eastern Cape, South Africa) decided to pack our spades and tools to come give the Ezendalo Team a hand. Our farm is an organically managed farm, and have been so for the past 3 decades.

We put our heads, hearts, networks and resources together, to help these inspiring souls achieve even more through what they have already setup.

We will be hosting Basic Permaculture Principle and system Workshops, as well as workshops on Soil Management, and Beneficial Bacteria for a stronger MicroBiome through the art of Fermentation.

We are giving of our time and energy and fundraising and looking to establish many more of the same initiatives within impoverished/underprivileged communities. We are looking to raise funds through any means necessary to further aid our cause in educating communities and empowering individuals through the exchange of Permaculture skills and knowledge.
