The Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra is raising funds for its Masidlale Music Project (Let Us Play!), which teaches music at a grassroots level to a hundred children from disadvantaged townships. A team of CTPO musicians will be running in the Gun Run on 14 October 2018 to raise funds to give these children access to music lessons. 
Since its launch in 2009, Masidlale has been successful in enriching the lives of our youth, helping to transform communities, building capacity and providing opportunities for professional musical development. Grassroots projects now reach children in Gugulethu, Langa, Khayelitsha, Pella, Mamre, Green Point and Nyanga with string or wind instrument training.
