My Story

The Cape Town Cycle Tour is the largest, timed cycling event in the world, with 35 000 cyclists riding the stunning 109km route. The race passes some of the world’s most spectacular scenery including the iconic Table Mountain. This year’s event will be held on Sunday, 12 March 2017. Our cycling team is the first of its kind at GWC, comprised of lecturers, students and friends of GWC, all cycling to raise funds for Student Bursaries.

The focus of George Whitefield College is to train hearts, minds and voices for the development of Christian Leadership across Africa. Currently, we have 14 African nations represented at the college, all of whom will apply their theological training to serving churches and their community in a full time or part time capacity. Over 60% of our students are from disadvantaged backgrounds and are supported by bursaries provided by the college through the GWC Trust, which is upheld by individual donors, Trusts and Foundations. GWC’s Cycling Team is focused on raising money for these vital bursaries.

Thank you for supporting the growth of the Kingdom by supporting my ride.
