I'm running the 2024 Boston Marathon in memory of my father, Dave Webster, to raise money for TargetCancer Foundation, a charity that funds research and raises awareness for rare cancers. This is the second time I'm running Boston as a member of Team TCF.
In 2011, my father died from cholangiocarcinoma, a rare cancer of the liver bile duct. He was just 47 years old.
Rare cancers like cholangiocarcinoma are often underfunded and under-researched, leaving patients like my dad with very few treatment options. Through its ongoing research and TRACK clinical trial, TargetCancer Foundation is leading the way to transform that reality.
I've been connected with TargetCancer for more than a decade and there isn't any other organization I'd even consider running 26.2 miles for (never mind doing it twice). TCF has contributed to such big advancements and I'm proud to even play a small part in that.
Please consider donating to my fundraising page, supporting me over the next few months of training, and helping raise money for TargetCancer Foundation in memory of my dad.
