WildlifeACT
is the company I am proud to be a part , working alongside an
amazing group of
humans whose relentless commitment to save africa’s
endangered species and
spaces from extinction is unwavering , but our projects we
put our hearts and
souls into everyday are under massive threats due to Covid-19
I am privileged
to be part of an amazing leopard survey project that conducts
long-term leopard
population surveys in partnership with Panthera. Each Leopard
Survey is run for two
months throughout the year using remote camera trapping
methods in the region
of over 150 remote cameras. The aim is to monitor whether
there are any
changes to the core leopard populations over time and feed
this information to
reserve managers & relevant conservation authorities, the
survey is the
largest of its kind on leopards in the world, and I am
responsible for the
entire fieldwork section of this project a job that takes me
into some of the
most beautiful landscapes and wild places.
Now more
than ever it is our duty to protect Africa’s beautiful
species and our
beautiful big cats a like.
In Africa
there is a concept known as Ubuntu – the profound sense that
we are human only
through the humanity of others, that if we accomplish
anything in this world it
will in equal measure be due to the work and achievement of
others- Nelson Mandela
If you can
help ,no matter how small the act of kindness, by sharing or
donating it will
go a long way in helping protect the Africa’s wild spaces for
future
generations.
