I'm taking part in the 125th Boston Marathon to raise money for the Massachusetts Bay Community College Foundation, who do great work for a cause that's very close to my heart for two reasons:
1) My wife, Noemy, completed pre-requisites at Mass Bay prior to earning her Bachelor's degree, and
2) Hunger should never be an obstacle to success. That's why MassBay’s Student Nourishment & Care Committee (SNACC) has partnered with the Greater Boston Food Bank, Food for Free, and Daniel’s Table to help support members of our community who do not have enough to eat.
The MassBay Foundation provides scholarships to support students achieving their academic goals. They are hardworking men and women, many with jobs and families, most with obstacles they’re trying to overcome through education. The scholarship funds are often the difference between students being able to continue pursuing their academic and career goals and dropping out. MassBay students are a flat tire away from being unable to afford to continue studying with us.
If you can, please donate to my fundraising project on GivenGain!
