My Story
Hello Friends and Family,
I'm proud and honored to be running the 126th Boston Marathon in support of West End House—a truly resilient youth development organization based in Boston that has been on the front lines throughout the pandemic. West End House empowers young people ages 8-24 to succeed from grade school through college graduation, to discover their passions and skills in the arts, to adopt healthy lifestyles, and to become leaders in their communities.
Faced with the challenges of pandemic-related restrictions and quarantine, West End House developed in-person, socially distanced programming and didn’t miss a step. When Boston schools were closed, West End House created safe, technology-enabled "learning hubs" for kids. Through their Family Food Program, they have delivered and distributed over 425,000 lbs. of groceries since March 2020 to ensure all families are food secure. They even conduct weekly COVID testing for all staff and kids to ensure everyone is safe and healthy, as well as vaccine clinics.
West End House provides powerful opportunities for young people to thrive and succeed. You can learn more about their work at http://www.westendhouse.org. I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to run for an organization that is aligned with my values and passions. Thank you for your consideration and for your generous support.
