My Story
If you were to tell me 2 years ago that I would be running the Boston Marathon I would have laughed at you. As some of you reading this may know I am not really the most into sports/athletics, so running for miles upon miles never made sense to me. As I got older and continued to watch my grandfather and uncle make changes in the world it all started to make sense. Running for my grandpa wasn't just running to him it was his life. Over the years I have found a love for running just like my grandfather had and I am thrilled to be a part of Team Hoyt for the 2023 Boston Marathon.

This will definitely be one of the hardest things I have done in my life but I know that my grandfather will be watching over saying "yes you can" and I hope that you all will donate and help cheer me on as I cross the iconic Boston Marathon finish line.

The Hoyt Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit organization that was formed in 1989. The Hoyt Foundation aspires to build the individual character, self-confidence, and self-esteem of America’s disabled young people through inclusion in all facets of daily life, including in family and community activities, especially sports, at home, in schools, and in the workplace. The Foundation also provides advice and support to groups and individuals who share this mission. This year’s team is special to us as we are honoring our father and our mother. We are planning for the Foundation to create a Dick and Judy Hoyt grant that will support inclusion for individuals with disabilities going forward.
