Hello! Thank you for visiting my fundraising page on GivenGain!
I am honored to run the 125th Boston Marathon this fall alongside Tufts Medical Center peers/ all funds will support the Massachusetts Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Nine years ago I fundraised for LLS/ an organization dear to my heart, as it directly contributed to the well-being and recovery of my best friend Matthew, who conquered lymphoma these past 16 years.
The support and donations I received from friends and colleagues was overwhelming/ and the race-day love I experienced all 13 miles through hilly San Francisco from sideline cheerleaders for LLS runners was lifechanging.
The first long run of my life was terrifying/ how long until my legs turn to pudding and my feet no longer feel the earth beneath me? But once the mist cleared after Mile 3, I could see the beaming faces through the growing crowd along the route. Loved ones, survivors, current warriors// chanting, encouraging, singing// some even ran alongside us, shouting the names on our bibs to acknowledge those loved ones we ran for. To say this was touching, would be an understatement.
I run for them/ all of them// including those who devote time and raise money for causes such as LLS.
Fundraising works/ Charities matter// Spread love/// Run faster////
Thank you for supporting and donating to LLS and our Tufts Medical Center Boston Marathon team!
Be well and stay safe/
