After doing a 850km charity ride over 9 days early in 2022, I decided to push the boundaries and raise money for my favourite charity, Qhubeka with a new challenge in 2023. 

I am going to ride 1000km in 5 days on a Qhubeka bike. This would be a challenge on my normal road bike, however riding it on a 16kg single speed Qhubeka bike takes it to a new level.

Qhubeka is a charity close to my heart, with their tag line "Bicycles change lives". They provide bicycles for learners to get to school, cutting down their commute time to a third. Getting them, to school in less time, and not as tired. The benefits are proven in the measurement of the impact that the bicycles have. The outcomes include improved attendance, improved marks and lower drop out rates.
