My Story
I'm raising money for Wildlife ACT. They are fully committed to the conservation of endangered African wildlife.

I just completed my second trip volunteering with Wildlife Act. Days are filled with monitoring critically endangered animals, Painted Wolves, Rhinos, cheetahs, vultures and lions.
I am in awe of the monitors and my fellow volunteers. I am proud that I can be a part of the work done by Wildlife Act in education, preservation and conservation of these beautiful animals. Every effort counts towards allowing these animals to continue to exist for future generations. This has truly been a life changing experience.

November 6th is the Rhino Peak Challenge. Last year I competed with my fellow volunteers from around the world. This year I was in the field with Wildlife Act, so I am creating my own team. Anyone, anywhere can be a part of the team for a small donation. We will send you our team bib and you can walk, run, crawl 5km.Take a selfie, share your time and we can make a total. My daughter Emma will lead the kids team. Or just make a donation in support.

I have chosen my team name as Hank in honor of Hank the Bush Tank. My first black rhino sighting. On the morning of September 28th, 2021, we were up and out the door at 5am. I love this time of the morning. The beginning of the day when you really do not know what’s going to happen. There was a chill in the air and the beautiful African sun was rising, we turn a corner and there he was, beautiful Hank.
