This year I will be running in the 125th Boston Marathon for the Joe Andruzzi Foundation, in memory of my mother, Kathi Shelburne. This foundation is committed to financially supporting individuals and their families who are effected by cancer, that are not only battling the disease, but also struggling with the financial stress that comes with it. JAF strives to help pay for the non-medical expenses such as housing, utilities, food and other necessities, to allow impacted families to focus on the fight against the disease. 
I will be running for my mom who lost her long, courageous battle against Breast Cancer in 2013. During the course of her illness, she prioritized family and displayed clear examples of bravery in the face of adversity.
