The Christmas Appeal is the 10k run/ walk on Monday 21st December. The funds raised will be divided 50:50 between Africa and Ireland to the following projects, further details of which are below.- Aidlink’s work supporting school students during Covid closures in Africa- Talbot Senior National School in Bawnogue- Spirasi’s work assisting torture survivors to rebuild their lives in Ireland- A project for addiction and homelessness in Clondalkin. Some students (and teachers) will want to run the 10k in a competitive time; many will go for a slow jog, and many others will do more walking than jogging. We will each record our personal distances on our phones and when we arrive back in school, the canteen will provide free sustenance, after which the boys can go home to recover.Should parents wish to support the Christmas Appeal by doing a personal or small group 10k on the day, using one of the online sponsorship options, we would of course be delighted.
