Extreme Team Challenge for CHOC

South Africa, South Africa

Prepare to be inspired by the awe-inspiring journey that lies ahead for 3 athletes – Stephen Malherbe, Alan Gillespie, and Cameron Kiloh. They are about to embark on a challenge that some have deemed impossible: conquering the formidable Knysna Extreme Triathlon followed immediately by the Mossel Bay Ironman 70.3 event.
Picture this: at the crack of dawn on Saturday, November 18th, the intrepid trio will dive into the open waters of Knysna, launching into an arduous 2.5/5km swim. But that's just the beginning. They'll then push themselves through a grueling 100/170km cycle and an utterly mind-boggling 30/50km off-road run, all in the pursuit of conquering the renowned Knysna Extreme Triathlon – often hailed as the toughest triathlon on the entire African continent.

And here's where their extraordinary feat truly takes flight. Once they've crossed the finish line of the Knysna Extreme, there's no time for rest. In a display of unwavering determination, these 3 trailblazers will have only a couple of hours to transition from exhaustion to exhilaration, as they dive headfirst into the Mossel Bay Ironman 70.3 race.

Picture them: slicing through the ocean waves in a 1.8km swim, then taking to the saddle for a relentless 90km cycle, and finally summoning every ounce of strength for a 21.1km run through the enchanting streets of Mossel Bay. Soaking up and driven by the excited supporters of this magical town.

Their pursuit is not for the faint of heart; it's a challenge that tests the limits of human endurance. A challenge that, in its sheer audacity, mirrors the incredible courage shown by the children they are supporting through their fundraising efforts for CHOC.

And so, as the sun sets on the 19th of November 2023, join us at the finish line in Mossel Bay for the Ironman 70.3 event, where these indomitable spirits, along with "THE COWS," will bask in their victory. Not only will they have achieved a monumental personal triumph, but they will have forever altered the lives of countless children – a testament to the unbreakable bond between remarkable athletes and a noble cause.

In unity and purpose, we proudly stand beside KimiTri Athletic, ready to witness the extraordinary unfold. Get ready to witness history, get ready to embrace the incredible – this is KimiTri Athletic, "Powered By Purpose
