COVID-19 and LOCKDOWN HAVE HAD A DEVASTATING IMPACT ON EDUCATION, MENTAL HEALTH AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

168 million children lost 1 school year
2.9 million school-aged children are refugees

In recent surveys, 27% reported anxiety, 15% depression
46% that they are less motivated to do activities they normally enjoy

60% less physical activity; 73% more screen time

We want to help the UNHCR address inequality and work together to meet SDG #4 (inclusive education for all).

The aim of the UNHCR programme is to fund future nurses, doctors, educators, engineers, designers, support workers, architects, scientists, researchers, therapists, lawyers and role models. They are even tackling gender inequality by prioritizing female applicants. This year is the UNHCR’s 70th anniversary and they are aiming to fund 700 scholars to mark this important moment.
Let’s rise to their global challenge!
