2022 Sofi Malt Great Ethiopian Run International 10km

Celebrated across the world as one of the liveliest and most colourful races on the international athletics calendar, this 10km is Ethiopia’s biggest street party, with tens of thousands of Ethiopians running, walking and dancing their way along the route, led by Ethiopia’s celebrated international runners, while also attracting participants of all abilities from all over the world!



But it’s also more than a street party. Every year the event raises vital funds for charity. On this page we are inviting you to set up your own fundraising page to benefit one of the race’s three official charities. Setting up your page is very easy to do, and when ready, simply share your page with your friends and family for donations!

The race’s three official charities this year are:


• Action For Development (AFD): supporting self-development initiatives of vulnerable communities in Ethiopia.

• imagine1day: improving access to quality education to over 265,000 children in Ethiopia annually.

• Mujejeguwa Loka Women Development Association (MLWDA): addressing health complication issues of children and women in Ethiopia.
