Team Thanda Skydiving for Rhinos
2011 was a horrific year for South Africa’s rhinos. Worse than 2010.It’s not getting any better in 2012.
1 rhino is slaughtered every 20 hours.
National Skydive for Rhinos is taking place between July and September, at skydive centres in KZN, North West, Eastern Cape, Free State and Western Cape:
448 ordinary individuals participate in the national skydive (one for every rhino killed in 2011) and each raise a minimum of R5,000
FUNDRAISING GOAL: R2million
100 % of funds raised will be channelled into the following provincial & national priorities:
Equipment for APU members – from basic (eg: sleeping bags) to high-tech (eg: GPS tracking units)
High level skills training for APU teams
Aerial surveillance
Buffer community interventions
Amanda, Cassandra and Natascha and Natascha's nephew, Johnny, are all going to take part and need to raise R20,000 between them.
Please help us in our quest to support Project Rhino.
