Supporting Samaritans, Inc.
This April, I am proud to be running the 128th Boston Marathon as a member of Team Samaritans, raising funds for suicide prevention + awareness in memory of my friend, Joseph Barish. In November of 2022, I lost a close friend to suicide. To say that learning about his struggle with mental health was shocking would be an incredible understatement. He opened my eyes to the silent struggle of mental illness, depression, and anxiety.Joe was the type of person you would meet once and never forget - he would greet you with a smile, no matter what, and was always the first to check in on his friends, asking, "how are you really doing".Despite being from New Jersey, Joe's greatest passion outside his family and friends was Boston sports and its culture. Running the 128th Boston Marathon in his memory is something I know would have made him proud. Please join me in raising funds for Samaritans, Inc., a charity dedicated to providing emotional support to those in need. With your help, we can make a difference in the lives of individuals struggling with mental health challenges, crisis situations, and emotional distress.
