Hi Supporters!Team #Ride4MS 17 - 24 March 2019Imad Zeineddine and Nelson FerreiraNelson and Imad will be riding The Cape Epic raising funds and creating awareness around Multiple Sclerosis in South Africa and riding for those who can’t #ride4ms The Absa Cape Epic is the most televised mountain bike race in the world and the only eight-day mountain bike stage race classed as hors catégorie by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). This official UCI status makes it a highlight on the professional racer's calendar. The Absa Cape Epic also attracts aspiring amateur riders wanting to test themselves against the best. It is a full-service race, meaning everything is taken care of from the start – all riders need to think about is riding. We definitely know you would all be riding with us if you could, however this is not always possible, so please can we ask for your assistance in raising funds. Your support would be greatly appreciated. Both Imad and Nelson enjoy riding tremendously and as they became aware of the tremendous increase in people diagnosed with MS in South Africa the past few years, they feel that they can do more in terms of: 1. Raising awareness for disabled sufferers and providing MSSA Western Cape with means to support and improve their quality of life.2. Enabling more people to be active and not take their ability or bodies for granted. This year the slogan for Cape Epic #capeepic #untamed #absacapeepic - “Untamed - No Turning Back” Both Nelson and Imad have put in the km, and are ready to take on the Ultimate Bike Race. Support us to raise funds for Multiple Sclerosis Society of South Africa Western Cape #mssa #nevergiveup #keepsmyelin in this epic grueling race MSSA is particularly proud that Imad is doing this for MS as the first ever Lebanese Arab participating in the Cape Epic! Help Gerrie Hadders to Keep S'Myelin for MS!
Welcome! I am Gerrie Hadders, and this is my attempt to share my journey living with Multiple Sclerosis. Keep smiling / S'Myelin is the most important thing in my life. I build on this everyday..... a smile on my face will bring happiness to others. Being an African Boy I believe that we can all contribute to make life fuller, more meaningful and rewarding. Leo Buscaglia wrote: “Don’t spend your precious time asking “Why isn’t the world a better place?” It will only be time wasted. The question to ask is “How can I make it better?” To that there is an answer.” ― Leo Buscaglia Simple Methodology to Enriching Lives: The power of a touch a smile a kind word a listening ear an honest compliment or the smallest act of caring All of the above have the potential to turn a life around. I have been blessed with opportunities in my life. With this project I want to make a difference and contribute towards making life easier for others. I am asking that you help me in any way you see fit and with the smallest or biggest of contributions to make it happen for everybody out there living with Multiple Sclerosis. Keep S'Myelin! Your contribution is important to me!

Walking A World Of Friendships For MS - 5km at a time
Hello! My name is Angela Kirby and I hail from Pickering, Ontario, Canada. Comedian, actor, writer Billy Crystal's late mother used to say, "Do something special for your Birthday. Whatever you do, celebrate the fact that you're here, and that people love you and you love them. We only do this once." ("Still Foolin' 'em" - Billy Crystal) And that's exactly what I'm going to do in 2015! I'm celebrating my Big Seven-Zero Birthday, as well as acknowledging the 20th anniversary of my first Multiple Sclerosis (MS) exacerbation, by doing 5Km WALKS with family, friends, and anyone else who will join us, in various towns and cities around the world, to raise funds specifically for MS Research in each of the countries I am visiting - because when the cure is found, everyone with MS anywhere in the world, will benefit. I also hope to raise awareness of this escalating disease that attacks both young and old. When people hear or read about a nutty Senior from Canada doing such a WALK in their town or city, or even just their airport in some places, they might just wonder what and why! As I do my WALKS in South Africa - at the airport in Johannesburg and in Cape Town itself, I hope you will consider sponsoring my efforts. Oh! And please know that you are most welcome to join me if I'm in your area. Now, come on, what's a mere 5 Km between friends! Thank you for reading my page Angela

Wine2Whales 2014 CyclingForMS
Wines2Wales 2014 After completing his first Sani2C in 2006, avid mountain biker Johan Kriegler conceptualized the idea of a similar multi-stage race in the Western Cape. In 2008 he approached local sports marketing specialists Stillwater Sport & Entertainment and after numerous lengthy meetings the Wines2Whales Three Day Mountain Bike Stage Race was born under the directorship of Johan Kriegler, Michael Meyer, Hendrico Burger and Dezroy Poole. The inaugural event took place in November 2009 and attracted 300 riders with the race village set up at the De Rust Futura School in Elgin. By 2010 word of the Wines2Whales Race had gotten out and to the delight of organizers a spectacular field of 1100 riders signed up to be part of the second year's experience (with 300 riders on the waiting list). The 2010 race village was set up at the Elgin Grabouw Country Club. This spectacular overnight growth spurt resulted in the event organizers splitting the field in 2011 with the introduction of the Wines2Whales Adventure. By hosting two events event organizers could give more mountain bikers the opportunity to be part of the Wines2Whales experience. Both the 2011 Wines2Whales Adventure and Wines2Whales Race attracted a field of 850 riders (per event) with 400 riders on the waiting list. The 2011 Race Village was once again at the Elgin Grabouw Country Club. The 2012 event saw 1100 eager riders (per event) flock to Lourensford Estate (Somerset West) for the start of a mountain biking experience like no other. In 2013 a third event during the week between the "Adventure," and the "Race," called the "Ride," was introduced, giving riders more of an opportunity and choice on which event to participate. In 2014 all the three events were fully booked with a waiting list on two of the three events.
