Kicking Cancer's Butt!!
This year we lost a brave, unforgettable man to Cancer. Themi Venturas was a remarkable man who's love for the arts and theatre left such a strong footprint on the South African stage that he will undoubtedly be remembered for years to come for his amazing contribution to the Arts in our country. We are all devastated by his passing. In addition to this, a close family friend has also been targeted by this relentless disease, and at the age of only 33, has had a radical bilateral mastectomy to eradicate her diagnosed breast cancer. With two beautiful healthy children, and an amazing family and support structure, she is positive for the future. You are so brave my friend, you go girl! Please help me to raise some funds towards the ongoing fight against Cancer! Near or far, every single one of us has been affected in some way by this awfully debilitating disease. Every little bit helps towards finding a cure and kicking cancer's butt for good! And I'll be out there swimming my butt off (literally) to earn your contributions!

Swim for PinkDrive!
Everyone knows someone who has battled or is busy fighting CANCER. You can help fight too by donating towards the Pink Drive, South Africa´s best-loved Breast Cancer Community Carer is the indispensable, tangible breast cancer Public Benefit Organisation (PBO) powering South Africa´s first mobile PinkDrive Mammography Unit and PinkDrive Educational Unit through our country, driving home the fact that `Early Detection Saves Lives´.All PinkDrive units travel to semi-urban and urban areas around South Africa with the aim of enabling all medically uninsured access to women’s health services. These services include free education on women’s health, free mammograms, free pap smears, free clinical examinations and how to do breast self-examinations.The first mobile screening unit successfully launched in the Western Cape in 2011 and operated through local clinics, community health centers and hospitals. PinkDrive has extended our service to the Gauteng region and offers the same cancer screening services. To bridge the gap of inaccessibility of access to affordable and convenient cancer screening services, PinkDrive, with the sponsorship of Metropolitan Health, opened the ‘Hello Clinic ‘ at the Pretoria station.PinkDrive also has representation in KwaZulu Natal.

Save Our Rhino's!!!
After riding the Imfolozi MTB challenge this past weekend, and having had the privilege of spotting 9 White Rhino in the park, I feel compelled to urge you all to stand up with me against Rhino poaching. More than 550 Rhino's have been poached in South Africa in 2013 so far, and we're only half way through the year. Everyone I know out there can afford at least R100 donation to save these beautiful creatures before it is too late. I would like my children to be able to see Rhino's on their holidays one day, what about you?? Every little bit helps, no amount is too small. So, if you were thinking of putting some money towards a birthday present for my 30th this year, I would like you to donate it to a good cause instead and help to save the Rhino. Check out my blog at http://gigaf.org/14u8lvI to see what's in it for you!
