Kids Haven celebrates its 20th birthday this year. It's 62km to the top of Mt Kilimanjaro on the Machame route. We are challenging you to donate R1 for each of these numbers i.e. a total of ZAR 82 WHO? 4 friends are climbing Kili WHEN? 26 Dec 2012 - 3 Jan 2013 WHY? to buy an outdoor gym for Kids Haven ABOUT KIDS HAVEN Their mission is to rehabilitate children living and working on the streets and to reintroduce them into society. They provide kids with love & shelter in a nurturing, secure environment and give them guidance, therapy, training & support so that they can be the best they can be & take their rightful place in the community. They currently have between 180-200 kids. ABOUT THE GYM This maintenance & electricity free gym will give the kids hours of enjoyment while encouraging them to adopt a healthy lifestyle where exercise becomes part of their daily lives.
