100 Miles 2 Nowhere - 31 July 2015
I will get on a stationary cadence bike in a studio, wear my usual attire (full cow suit), make sure all the fans are on full blast and start my 160km journey to NOWHERE!! 6 hours to cycle 160km and all for the little heroes fighting cancer. Having watched my dad so courageously fight cancer, and knowing how much he loved all his little patients, I dedicate my fund raising journey to him. Thank you dad for being the calming voice to your little patients in your care, how you always made sure these brave little ones would wake up in mom's arms and not in some cold horrible theater surrounded by people in green. How you were never in a hurry, even with everyone waiting for you, to finish explaining what was going to happen to the little soul though half the time they had no idea what you were saying as they were too small to understand but were calmed by the sound of your voice. On behalf of all your little patients and me: Dad, you are and always will be my true Hero - this one's for you!! Though I did not follow in your footsteps I will try and keep your legacy alive and make sure that those with the softest voices get all the love, care, kindness and patience they so richly deserve. This is my dedication to you dad, and my journey for CHOC

Two Oceans 21km
Last year we started up the Durban Herd - and sealed the deal by signing a pledge: To run the Two Oceans Half Marathon - 21km - in a fluffy Cow Suit. "You cannot do a kindness too soon, for you never know how soon it will be too late." ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Midmar Mile 2014
I am not a swimmer.. fact is, I swim like a brick, plain and simple.. However, stepping out of my very comfortable zone I decided that joining the amazing KZN Herd in this epic event would just be a tiny step compared to the huge leaps our little heroes at CHOC have to continuously take. Leaps into the unknown and uncertainty. If it takes me a whole day to get across that dam it doesn't matter - as this swimming brick will get there with the little heroes on my mind and alongside our incredible herd!!
