The overall aim of SACET is to, via scholarships and bursaries: * Subsidise the costs of education and training of natural resource managers in SADC countries; * Help reduce costs to students, funders and employing agencies; * Create a mechanism to multiply the impact of donations SACET is overseen by Trustees represented by a range of conservation agencies in Southern Africa (WWF South Africa, IUCN – Regional Office of Southern Africa, South African National Parks, Peace Parks Foundation) and committed individuals. Donors are able to invest with minimal overheads in the knowledge that the Trust is professionally managed and contributes to the creation of a new generation of managers equipped to deal with the key challenges facing protected area management today.
