Blogging for funds
As I was working for Africaid´s WhizzKids United in Durban (South Africa) last year it is still important to me to support the organisation wherever I can.
The mission of WhizzKids United is to deliver effective HIV prevention, care, treatment and support to youth worldwide through the medium of football. The organisation is based in Durban and mainly works in rural townships to get the kids to know about the danger of HIV and AIDS and how to stay away from the deadly disease.
My goal is to use the power of the social web to raise funds for WhizzKids United. I´d like to spread my fundraising project through my blogs becominganerd.wordpress.com, schoebi-on-tour.com and sport-mal-anders.com getting all the worldwide computer nerds to donate some money for my project or at least to post something about it.
I decided in favour of Africaid´s WhizzKids United, because I know that the money will be needed and it will also be in good hands. Furthermore I had the chance to spend six unforgettable months with amazing colleagues in one of the most beautiful countries in the world. So it´s time for me to give something back and to help reducing the high number of HIV and AIDS infected people.
The deadline for my fundraising project will be christmas this year. So please help me to raise some funds and support the fight against HIV and AIDS in South Africa and other affected countries.
