Studying in a foreign country, struggling with student debt and dealing with the impact of a global pandemic places a heavy burden on the shoulders of students whose priority should be focusing on completing their studies. This is the unfortunate, grim reality for many Zimbabwean Maties.
Created as financial initiative by the Division for Development and Alumni relations, the #Zim4Zim Project Fund aims to ensure that final year Zimbabwean students are given financial support to help clear their debt by the time they graduate in December of March.
The distribution of funds will be overseen by a panel made up of alumni and University representatives. If the successful, this project will ensure that these graduates will receive their physical degree certificates and can therefore begin to look for relevant employment immediately.
By offering this support to these talented students, you will contribute to knowledge production on our continent, thereby retaining the University’s commitment to inclusive excellence.
