Help us heal the traumatic impact of systemic racism in Boston, and to create a more equitable Boston in which youth of color can thrive as leaders in the community. We use a proven integrated model that fosters healing communities for young people with caring adults rooted in racial equity, restorative justice and trauma-inclusive care practices. Our unique approach operates with youth development and leadership programs, organizational change consulting, and clinical care and wellness.

Our Team Trinity marathon runners raise funds for our year-round youth development and leadership programming including Sole Train, a community-building and mentoring program that uses running as a vehicle for setting and achieving seemingly impossible goals in school and life. Start your fundraising project today and make a real difference to our cause.

RACIAL DISPARITIES IN YOUTH OUTCOMES

Black and Brown youth in Boston are not flourishing at the same rates as white children, largely due to recurring trauma resulting from the impact of systemic racism and adverse childhood experiences. Racial disparities present across a wide range of important youth and intergenerational family outcomes such as: drop-out rates; high school and college graduation rates; physical and mental health; economic status and involvement in the foster care and juvenile justice system.

TBC brings clinical expertise and deep experience working with youth of color and youth-serving organizations in Boston to co-create communities for healing, where youth and youth workers are seen, heard and able to express their full authentic selves.

Recognizing that ending systemic racism requires healing hearts and minds, TBC delivers effective training, coaching, and counseling that transforms organizations, and dismantles structural barriers to success.

We envision Boston as a fully equitable city, where systemic inequities are eliminated for youth of color, so they can enjoy equal status and access to resources as their white peers, grow up in healing and just communities, and thrive as leaders.
