Anti-poaching unit & wildlife protection.
A sad reality we face in South Africa is the fact that our wildlife is under continuous threat, through habitat loss, illegal trade, poaching, and other wildlife crime. Here at the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, we strive to ensure that our reserve and those that surround us, become protectors and guardians of our wildlife heritage.
Every day, our dedicated men and women have put their lives on the line to protect what we all love, our wildlife. Rhino poaching within our country is an ongoing battle, however, with the right support and enough funding, we are able to make a difference and give a fighting chance to these beautiful creatures. Our incredible anti-poaching teams are unlike any other. They believe it is their calling, their mission, and their legacy to protect wildlife.
Here is where we need the support:
- Field ranger ration packs - +/-R650.00 per field ranger per month. (over 25 field rangers).
- Working dog support & care - +/- R1 500.00 per dog per month (4 working dogs).
- Camera traps for detection - +/- R8 400 per unit.
- Additional e-bikes for field rangers - +/- R28 000.00 per bike.
- Upgrades to living areas of field rangers & working dogs - R80 000.00 per picket.
- Anton Mzimba Legacy - Training of the next generation of field rangers.
- Unforeseen expenses. Help support rangers when they need it most.
Help support them and our wildlife. Be a wildlife hero.
100% of your donations will go directly to ensuring our reserve remains a wildlife safe haven.
