The Justice Desk is an award-winning Human Rights Organisation which operates in
South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe. We empower local people to understand and defend their Human Rights, in order to build safer communities for all!
As an organisation, we educate, train, advocate for and equip youth, vulnerable groups, civil society, and governments in Human Rights, justice and advocacy. We work primarily in township areas and vulnerable communities, empowering and equipping local people with the necessary skills and platforms to lead their own change.
We believe that by empowering ordinary people to understand and defend their Human Rights, they can transform society in a sustainable way and create a more just and equal world.
We have impacted the lives of hundreds of thousands of people across South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe and we want YOU to be a part of it!
We address the following key areas:
- Gender-Based Violence
- Human Trafficking
- Children's Rights
- Human Rights Education
We run various projects which include:
- The Mbokodo Club: Self-defence classes, mental health support and female empowerment workshops for girl survivors of rape and gender-based violence in vulnerable communities
- Ntsika yeThemba: A project for boys in vulnerable communities without positive male remodels, challenging toxic forms of masculinity and standing up for the rights of women.
- Youth Ambassadors Project: A project that educates, trains and equips young people to become children's rights defenders. Their motto is "Children Fighting for the Rights of Children".
