Donate and help us train up loads of Care Clowns & Joy Catalysts...

This is our core work & this project's annual budget is based on completing trainings, and schools programs, as well as the supporting and managing our growing joy family of over 50 volunteers.

Our Joy Movement Care Clowns and Joy Catalysts make weekly visits to hospitals and other care institutions. This includes the Jhb General Hospital - Charlotte Maxeka, Woodside Special Care Centre, Sarah Fox Convalescent home, Maitland Cottage and many other institutions nationwide.

The gift of joy effects the children, and ripples into the hearts of parents, staff and the volunteers themselves.

All our joy family volunteers are discovering the blissful exchange of purposeful existence and service orientation.

The Joy Movement supports institutions and families with the socio-emotional sUPport of their young patients. The volunteer Care Clowns share joy, through play and empathic care. They incorporate magic, story telling, singing, gentle caring-clowning and quiet support, depending on the needs and reality of each patient and the growing ability of our Care Clowns.

All our Care Clowns are sensitive and well trained individuals, who create safe play worlds from the heart. The Joy Movement does not offer to provide an alternative to medical care, but rather we feel we are part of the team, enhancing the healing process and quality of life of patients when they need a smile and joy most.
