For 20 years, Team BMC—Boston Medical Center’s (BMC) athletic fundraising team—has proudly participated in the Boston Marathon® as a member of the John Hancock Marathon Non-Profit Program, raising more than $7 million for the hospital. Team BMC is excited to return to the historic marathon course this April and continue making an impact on BMC and its patients!
Funds raised through Team BMC’s participation in the John Hancock Marathon Non-Profit Program benefit BMC’s transformative health equity initiatives. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic amplifying health disparities among disinvested populations, BMC is doubling down on its commitment to ensuring ZIP code is no longer a predictor of health. As the largest safety-net hospital in New England caring for a diverse patient population, BMC is dedicated to seeing its patients and communities thrive by: eradicating racial health disparities in clinical care and research; expanding access to wraparound care; and developing innovation approaches to addressing social determinants of health.
With your support, Boston Medical Center can drive systemic change that empowers patients and creates pathways to stability and success.
We continue to be grateful for our partnership with John Hancock and the Boston Athletic Association for propelling BMC’s mission of exceptional care, without exception for all.
Thank you for supporting Team BMC!
