Team Qhubeka ASSOS races for something bigger than wins. The team rides to help people in Africa to move forward with bicycles. Team Qhubeka ASSOS share a belief that #BicyclesChangeLives.
The hand on the back of the team race jersey is a reminder that every Qhubeka bicycle is a helping hand up to a Qhubeka beneficiary. To the team, it symbolises the power that bicycles have in changing lives. A bicycle is not a handout – it’s a tool people can use to achieve their own goals, just as Team Dimension Data for Qhubeka works to achieve its team goals, always moving forward.
The funds raised by the #BicyclesChangeLives campaign are channelled into Qhubeka’s scholar mobility and mechanic training programmes. They help children to get to school and sports activities more easily, and mechanics to access economic opportunities.
