The children affected by the Nyiragongo volcano, north of the city of Goma in the province of North Kivu, in the east of the DRC are in difficulty to return to school by October 2021. They have no school kits , no school fees, no food, no clothes and they even lack sufficient space in host families.

The May 22, 2021 volcanic eruption set their schools and homes on fire, and these children find themselves internally displaced in neighboring villages that escaped the lava flow. ASUCO ASBL is launching this campaign to raise funds, materials and food to help these children return to school by the start of the school year scheduled for October 2021 and for the survival of these children.

All people of good will are therefore invited to give according to their abilities to save the lives of these children.
