Morkel Cottage is a creche in the Helderberg area which can take care of approximately 35 toddlers, up to 6 years of age. This creche is a safe place where they come to play and learn weekly. The creche also ensures the kids get a healthy meal every day to make sure that everyone has enough energy to keep up with the day's adventures and learning activities.

Just as you can't teach a hungry child, children also can’t learn if they don't have the right tools and a good teacher for school. This 2cChange project aims to supply underprivileged kids in our local community (mainly the Morkel Cottage creche) with the right tools and support to be able to succeed at school. We supply basic stationery, pay electricity and daily meal, educational aids and more to make it easy to complete schoolwork, grow their young minds and give them the opportunity to earn gold stars in schoolwork.

Due to Covid, a lot of families can’t afford to send their children to day care and the chance of these vulnerable kids ending up on the streets are inevitable.
